Food
Just like clothing, the food you ate depended on you social class. Most of the best food was reserved for the highest people. The majority of the manor though, had basic diets. The people that had basic diets rarely had meat. The animals on the manor were reserved for the nobles. The lower people though, could get better food for a price. Some lower class people that had money, could buy an animal.
Nobles would always have rich feasts for their meals. They would only have large knives to cut their food with. Their diets consisted of rich meats seasoned with many spices. The vassals had basically the same thing since they served at the nobles court. The clergy diets varied because of the four sub-categories. The tradesmen had basic diets consisting of basic foods. But sometimes tradesmen could use their money to buy a cow or a goat which could get them fresh milk. Serfs had basic diets consisting of black bread, cabbage, and turnips.
